Using the ARC handsfree plus on a single dog with short hair. He is a 12 month old Vizsla and weighs 45-50lbs currently. I only have to use a power of about 12 for quick reaction even though it goes to 0-127 power. I got the swivel antennae but am not sure I would again because the standard antennae on the unit is shorter than i originally thought. The unit has performed very well in a neighborhood with a house or two in the way out to at least 300yrds and i am sure would go further if needed even with all the obstructions here. The charge time stated of 2 hrs. is incorrect per my experience and what customer support said. Its really just under 3 hrs. The collar isnt really reflective as i thought it to be. I bought the collar from dogtra in the fluorescent blue. The unit is light but very sturdy and not so light to feel cheap plastic. Its just right in my large hands and also my wife's small hands so we dont fumble it much. I would definitely recommend the unit but if i had it to do over i might buy the 1900 series due only to the way you turn on the collar unit. With the ARC you have to match two tiny red dots vs a manual button on the 1900. The manual button on a 1900 may be harder to turn on and off with a jittery dog but until told different i imagine it would be easier than the ARC. Overall i am well pleased.

Definitely one of the best e-collars on the market. Love the fact that it adjust from 1 to 127. Had a different brand collar before this one and it went from 1 to 7. The problem with the other brand is it does not have a fine adjustment. 2 was not enough and 3 was to much. Love the ARC that it adjust from 1 to 127. My dog now is not yelping when she is corrected. Highly, Highly Recommend this E-Collar. The adjustment knob rotates so smooth and easy. NOT a cheaply made piece of equipment.

LOVE this collar and the kicks made it even better. The ARC is hard to notice when on the dog, it is a great size and design. I've had an Arc for a few years. The kicks made it perfect! No delay at all. I can use them when I'm working with clients too (they have the kick, I have the remote to adjust levels and give a correction if needed). Timing with a kick is faster too (unless you have remote in hand of course). I've run these collars through creeks, mud, fields, woods, ect... never had an issue. My own pack has 2 Dutch Shepherds, 2 Dobermans and a Mali.
