Can I use the 280C e-collar on the 280X remote?

Users can pair the 280C e-collar to the 280X remote however, there are certain limitations in access to features accessible only on the 280X e-collar such as tone, XPP vibration and the LED e-collar light as well as the requirement to power on the 280C requires a magnetic on that the 280X cannot provide.

Are both the 280X remote and e-collar waterproof?

Both the 280X e-collar and 280X remote are certified IPX9K and fully waterproof. This is the highest waterproof level in the e-collar category. For reference most cell phones are rated at IP67.

What’s the difference between the 280X and 280C?

The 280X features a redesigned remote and e-collar setup with a double-layered protective front plate, central Nick/Continuous command button, tone, boost, safety lock, XPP Vibration, LED light button, and a large LED screen. It can also support up to 3 dogs. The 280C only offers HPP Vibration, Nick, and Continuous buttons. Both e-collars are compact, but the 280X includes an LED light, audible tone, power button, and plastic contact covers.
