I have used a 2302 NCP for my two labs for 8 years. We use the set up every day. The transmitter and the receivers have worked flawlessly. I waterfowl hunt a lot. My girls are part fish and love the water. I've never had a problem with either the transmitter and receivers. I am just now ordering new batteries. Eight years for battery life is quite impressive. Not sure how partial charging affects battery life. I only charge them when the red light indicates it is time to put them on the charger. My girls have learned the vibration means I'm talking to them and they need to obey my orders. It is nice to know that when their nose is full of scent and they don't want to obey my command I can tickle them with either a vibration or a nick. A nick will work nearly 100% of the time. Only very rarely if they are running into harms way do I need to use the constant shock. If necessary I can hit them hard enough to stop them immediately even at considerable distance. My trainer turned me on to Dogtra 14 years ago when we got our first retriever. Every product I've used from Dogtra has worked flawlessly. I salute the company for making and standing behind the dog training products available.
